In order to become a court reporter, an individual must go through a variety of different education requirements and certification tests in the state of Arizona. 1. First and foremost, an individual must meet the minimum certification requirements for Arizona. The basic eligibility requirements are to be at least 18 years of age, be a citizen or legal resident of the U.S., and hold a high school diploma or equivalent certification. It is also important to select a career path for your higher education, as some schools don’t always offer a broad approach to the court reporting world.
2. Once you’ve decided you want to work in court reporting in Scottsdale, AZ, you’ll need to complete a court reporting program at your college of choice. In the state of Arizona, the following programs are NCRA Certified:

Associate in Applied Science Degree in Court Reporting – Judicial
Certificate of Completion in Court Reporting – Judicial
